Large Format banners
Our new eco-solvent wide format printer is great for outdoor banners and long lasting banners.
We can also mount on foam core. For outdoor banners we can add grommets, this is a great way to hang up your banner they are rated for up to 3 years.
We take files from most programs including Microsoft Word and Publisher, as well as traditional graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. We prefer working with Press Quality PDF files - that way the file has your graphics and fonts embedded in the final file.
We can work with most programs but prefer press quality PDF. Please do not paginate cards or submit multiple up files (we do the pagination ourselves).
Most Large format Prints are printed same day once we get approval .
A few things to remember before submitting your files:
-If you submit Press Quality PDF’s to our specs you can view a proof online within minutes using our automated system. Our prepress staff will still look over your job before going to press and if your files do need some changes we will send you another proof .
- Make sure you include a bleed area of .125" if you do have image going off the card.
- Cutting may vary so keep all valuable text and logos within the safe area.
- Resolution of logos should be at least 600 dpi

Why am I getting another proof after I approved my file online?
If you submit your press quality PDF online your file goes through our automated process but it does not end there. Our prepress staff looks over your file for other issues such as missing bleeds, Rich black text and other issues you might not see in your proof. Please relook over the proof and approve again (this service is free).
How much does it cost to have one of your designers design my card?
Most Banners take about an hour and we bill out and $100 an hour. So typically it only costs $100 to get the most out of the experience please submit all information to our designers at one time this will help keep the cost down.
Can I see a hard copy proof?
Yes and we encourage it. We want you to be a 100% satisfied.

Our state of the art facility includes a complete prepress shop, eighteen wide format printers of up to 60" width, and a complete finishing shop for laminating and mounting on board. We have the skill, and the capacity, to turn your job around quickly and affordably.
Our banner printing shop can produce vinyl banners up to eight feet wide and forty feet long, and our new UV curable flatbed machine prints directly on styrene, sintra, coroplast, foamcore and gatorboard. We also stock a 50 point board that is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable for an end-to-end green product!

A Glossary of Large Format Print Terms
Glossy paper - a class of paper that has a gloss or "shiny" finish. Glossy paper comes in different levels of shininess. Typically, the shinier variants are referred to as "gloss" or "glossy" paper, whereas the less shiny variants are referred to as "semi-gloss" or "satin" paper.
Finishing - preparing printed pages for use. Most printed jobs require one or more finishing steps, such as trimming, folding, or binding.
Large Format Printing - process of giclee printing photographs, picture enlargements, prints or reproductions.
Offset - an indirect printing process. Ink is transferred to paper from a blanket that carries an impression from the printing plate, rather than directly from the printing plate itself. Generally, when we say "offset" we mean "offset lithography," even though other printing processes, such as letterpress, may also use this indirect technique. The term offset (or "set off") can also refer to the smudges cre- ated when ink from one printed sheet transfers to another. Offset spray is used to prevent this. see also impression cylinder, lithography, planographic, plate, printing processes.
Photo Enlargement - process of blowing up and printing a digital picture reproduction on a large format giclee printer.
Photo Resizing - enlargement of original photos, (i.e. enlarged from 8x10 to life size or poster size).
Physical Proof - a printed picture reproduction for approving color and printed enlargement resolution.
Vinyl - a synthetic fabric made from PVC which resembles leather.

Click "Upload Your Art" tab for instructions on sending your files and seeing your proofs.
Click "Name your project" then click on the [ Prepare artwork ] tab.
| Click the ( Upload Applet ) button on this tab. This will bring up the Java file upload applet - a Digitally Signed and SAFE tool for file transfer on either Mac or PC. Simply drag your PDF, PS, or EPS design files onto the bullseye drop zone - either from the left navigation panel - or straight from your desktop folders - and press the Start Upload button. Once the upload is finished you will see a list of your files at the bottom of the Prepare Artwork tab. If there is any mistake you will see a X on the right side that you can delete the files with. |
